The group has been divided into first generation immigrants, 1.5 gens, US-born second generations, half Koreans, adoptees, and North Korean refugees. Strong stereotypes exist against each of these groups based on cultural, social, political, educational, and religious differences. Every one of these “Korean-American” experiences is valid and adds to the cultural wealth of our community.
